A lot of songs that are ****ty, quite a few which are okay-since-it's-part-of-my-youth-but-I'd-never-listen-to-it-more-than-once-in-a-very-long-while, and a meagre few which are okay. 70s and 80s, where did you go? (the 80s had its fair amount of bad songs though, but it was a great decade all in all)

In the 00s, the good music were found outside the main stream. Neal Morse, Karmakanic, all the goodness of prog rock of the 00s, that's where the gems are found. And old mainstream artists that is not regarded as in their prime, like Leon Russel and Elton John. That album they did was great.

What is more likely, that this list proves that the 00s had bad music or that Guynemer shouldn't be using anything from VH1 to be proving anything?

Fair point, that. But the '00s still blow.

Agreed. I have never seen VH-1. Aussie t.v. used to have 'Rage' on a Friday night through the small hours:

rage is an all night music video program broadcast on ABC TV on Friday and Saturday nights. rage first screened in April 1987. On Friday nights rage plays new release videos through until 6am. From 6-8am rage plays a package of hits and new releases. From 8-9am rage plays a preview of the upcoming night's guest programmer of special.

Also, I have never watched MTV. I did like some of the MTV Unplugged series, especially the 10 000 Maniacs recording, but that was on c.d. and video.

Only if you stopped at "mainstream" music.
