I'm a fan of the toasted sandwiches at subway.

When did Subway start toasting sandwiches? Did they start copying Quizno's or something?

Subway was toasting sandwiches at the UBC Union centre in the early '80s. I was also toasted there.

Seriously, Subway has been toasting sandwiches for a while now. Maybe not early 80s long, but at least for 5 years or so.

Maybe not stateside, but in Canada they've been doing it for decades. When I ventured to Englandia early this year, I discovered UK Subway stores had their own variations.

I didn't know that probably because I avoid subway like the plague. Maybe it is time to give it another look.

Subway has been toasting for many years now.

I have a soft place in my heart for peanut butter and honey as well as peanut butter and a good berry jam. Not always in the mood though.
