-- she kindly points out your flaws in a way you understand and either (a) continue on with this girl or (b) when she moves on, you now know enough to not make so many terrible mistakes and you do find the girl you want

I can respect people that want to wait. But as you say, there comes a time as years and years pass that it becomes less endearing or honourable and more " you are 35 and have never once "found someone", whats wrong with you"..
