I see nothing odd in the failure of the U.S. Government to control a German subsidiary of an American corporation. I think it's odd that people can't recognize the difference between a free society and a totalitarian one.

Yes, I'm so ****ing stupid that I can't tell the difference between a democratic and totalitarian state. So much so that I'm shocked that the democratic one allowed its industry to supply information-management technology to enable the holocaust.

Dude, free states (the way you define them) don't exist in the real world.

How was the United States supposed to control a German subsidiary of IBM? Even if it were possible, it would have been antithetical to American values. We had no equivalent of OGPU. The federal government was so weak it couldn't even enforce prohibition.

Well, once we were at war with the Nazis I don't see how it would have been against our values to stop the subsidiary, if we had been able to.

IBM couldn't control it's German subsidiary once the war started any more then GM could control Adam Opel's production of heavy trucks for the German war machine.

Exactly. It's not like there was a U.S. Customs agent at the offices of Dehomag.

Back on topic, and for those inclined to regurgitate every piece of anti-Gaddafi propaganda that gets shoved down their throats:

Libya: NTC concocts mass grave story in brazen propaganda ploy

In a truly stunning display of dishonesty, the BBC has reported, citing no evidence to back its claim, that a mass grave containing over 1,200 bodies has been found in Tripoli’s Abu Salim prison complex. The BBC attempts to tie this ‘finding’ to the equally concocted ‘Abu Salim prison massacre’, as it claims that the bodies are those of the inmates supposedly killed in 1996.

In a piece posted today after a NTC news conference, the BBC uses the headline: “More than 1,200 bodies found in Tripoli mass grave“. Categorically, absolutely, unequivocally, this is an out-and-out lie; 1,200 bodies have not been found. Not a single body has been found. In fact, no excavation has been performed, and no more than ‘several bone fragments’ have been discovered, according to the NTC.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Jesus Christ you are stupid. The BBC is not claiming it is fake and instead is saying it is real. What a fantasy world you live in.

A mass grave which Libya's interim authorities believe could contain up to 1,270 bodies is found at the notorious Abu Salim prison in Tripoli.

Please learn to read. ZERO bodies have been found. Only some bone fragments and pieces of clothing have been found at the site. Excavation has not even begun.

Watch the video. They've found several pieces of bodies, the guards at the old prison where the ones who lead investigators to the site, pieces of clothing and human remains have been found and eye witness accounts all back up the story.

I think you're the one who can't read (or even follow the BBC's report) plus your previous nonsensical claim about the BBC directly contradicts the BBC's own website. You really need to stop lying because you're either lying or so mentally disabled you're unable to follow what was said.

Lastly, would you please respond to Loinburger's claim that those cartoons are your's. Are they your's or not?

                                Back to the topic folks.

Prominent rebels are speaking out and claiming the transition government is a puppet of foreign powers.

Still haven't found an English link.

Who would have thought of this?
