oh ya, I avoid dealerships like the plague so if they wont honor the warranty and try to charge full price take it somewhere else for the work.

Many luxury brands will invalidate your warranty if you can't prove the scheduled maintenance was done at the proper times. If you take it to the dealer, where you will get raped on price, then they always will honor the warranty but if you take it some where else then you have to keep your receipts to prove it was done and even then if the repair costs are expensive they can try to claim the maintenance wasn't done correctly and you have the burden to prove that it was. It's all designed to force people to take their cares to the dealership and pay the high prices there. I never take my car to the dealer but I do keep all of my receipts just in case.
