krills, thanks . however, i think my gaming might be a little too sporadic for MP games. sometimes i'll play intensely for time and then not touch a game for months.

thoth, i installed bug mod and i like the new interface, but it's still the same game underneath.

onefoot, i know there are a lot of mods out there, but as i said, i have a slow connection so i would prefer to filter what i download.

well, it's hard to call which one is the "best" to try out... I played several, and not a single one stands out as such... as they have different strenghts and weaknesses...

but if you want a lot more stuff in Civ . Rise of Mankind a New Dawn... is the one to try out... lots of new tech, different units, even mechanics to explore... but with some bugs - with a bit of patience, definitely interesting.

i downloaded the ROM - a new dawn mod and it's really, really good. i'm enjoying it a lot (although due to my rather aged laptop i can't play on the larger maps). thanks onefoot.

If you ever want to MP, add me to gtalk, since we're more likely to have similar schedules, what with being on the same timezone and all.

i wouldn't mind some MP action either.

            also, look into downloading planetfall.

Planetfall is indeed very good, especially if you like sci-fi/the original AC.
