If Europeans want to nuke Israel, fine. No reason Americans should pay for it.

      1) The immediate plan is to nuke the Egyptian Sinai, not Israel so that we don't have to worry about he impact on the Suez
      2) I have far more skin in this game than you do, given the de minimus taxes you undoubtedly pay
      3) Aid to Israel and Egypt make this a far cheaper proposal than continuing a currently

          1) How does nuking a site closer to the Suez impact the Suez less?
          2) Why are only present taxes relevant. If the government needs to pay to replace a used nuke then I'd expect that to add to the national debt.
          3) the cheapest proposal is to just cut off aid

NPVed I'm likely to pay higher taxes to the US for the rest of my life than you are too; I'm only 31 and my earnings will likely come in the US

Be a political realist. The only alternative is to nuke them.

So now sailors can get radiation sickness from the Suez strait. You really are an *******.

Well you called my taxes "de minimus" and I don't expect to be in the bottom half of Americans who pay barely any taxes.

Congress is supposed to find a trillion in spending cuts over the next ten years and I bet they could sneak a lot of stuff into a trillion dollars.

                1) Sailors will be fine. Give it 6 months to cool off and here will be minimal additional cancer risk. Certainly much lower risk than continued exposure to STDs and pirates
                2) You taxes ill likely continue to be de minimus until you are in your late 20s or early 30s, and may be so for the rest of your life (depends on how many kids you have an whether you use the tax dodge of home ownership)
                3) Fine. Call it the "foreign aid reduction program". 5 billion in up-front costs, 5 billion a year in ongoing reductions

Is it really possible to wipe out most of your taxes by owning a home and having kids? That's surprising.

See DanS' example of a couple he knows making (IIRC) 100K and paying0 (or almost 0) federal income taxes (outside payroll taxes, of course)

I think it would probably take 100 or more nukes to blast out a navigable channel from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea.

History generally tells the story of the Nazi run holocaust while leaving out the willing roles of non-Germans in the occupied territories or the continuation of the persecution of Jewish surviviors through out Europe in the years following V-E day. The Jews who left Europe for Israel in the late 1940s and early 1950s had plenty of reason to do so. Rothschilde didn't do that. For contionental Europeans Israel was the perfect place to get rid of a continuing problem, and the British were caught not having done a damn thing they promised to do when they took Palestine as a mandate of the League of Nations to prepare the native peoples for self-government.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

If you're concerned about radiation you could reduce the number of nukes required by sending in a bunch of these:
