  • You are correct to say that he is not formally a spokesperson for the MB. He just happens to have agreed to an interview, and he happens to be a senior MB member. Given the above, I find it, shall we say, strange, that no other MB member has contradicted him. They've had a few months now.

Similarly, they haven't rushed out to condemn the MB's Supreme Guide's open declaration of war against the US which reads (in translation) as follows:
"Resistance is the only solution against the Zio-American arrogance and tyranny, and all we need is for the Arab and Muslim peoples to stand behind it and support it. The peoples know well who is [carrying out] resistance and who has sold out the [Palestinian] cause and bargained over it. We say to our brothers the mujahideen in Gaza: be patient, persist in [your jihad], and know that Allah is with you..."

And they haven't rushed out to disagree with their Gazan affiliates, who themselves mourned the loss of the "Muslim Mujahid" Osama Bin Laden (http://www.memritv.org/clip/en/2910.htm):
We believe that this continues an American policy that is based on oppression and on the shedding of Arab and Muslim blood. Regardless of the different views in Arab and Islamic circles, we, of course, condemn the assassination or killing of a Muslim mujahid and an Arab. We pray for Allah to cover him with His mercy, next to the prophets, the righteous, and the martyrs.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

    • It should be patently clear that there are many different people with many different opinions within the Muslim Brotherhood. The Official communications are far more moderate than the odd extreme guy you keep finding and quoting.

Again, you are being disingenuous and my comparison of the MB extremists to the Westboro chuch is more than valid.

Honestly, how stupid are you if you think it's a valid argument to find quotes from individuals of the 600,000 members and pretend they speak for the entire group when those quotes are in conflict with the official positions? As for disagreeing with their "Gazan affiliates" (wow, you are really stretching now ), considering they have repeatedly strongly condemned the attacks by Osama Bin Laden I'm struggling to see how you can view that as anything other than a disagreement. But really, you don't care. You swallow propaganda, you spew it out, and now you're backed into the corner and want to convince yourself more than anyone else that you've not been had. You have. Sucker.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
