You are correct to say that he is not formally a spokesperson for the MB. He just happens to have agreed to an interview, and he happens to be a senior MB member. Given the above, I find it, shall we say, strange, that no other MB member has contradicted him. They've had a few months now.
Similarly, they haven't rushed out to condemn the MB's Supreme Guide's open declaration of war against the US which reads (in translation) as follows:
And they haven't rushed out to disagree with their Gazan affiliates, who themselves mourned the loss of the "Muslim Mujahid" Osama Bin Laden (http://www.memritv.org/clip/en/2910.htm):
