The "refugees" mentioned in the article are not refugees. They've lived in Jordan, Syria etc. for more than a generation.

They're still refugees. However, the right of return PNA is talking about is impossible. There are so many of these refugees that Israel will never accept their return. The Jews will be outbred in a single generation.
I personally support a single-state solution. Merge Israel and Palestinian territories into a single country with Jerusalem as its capital, grant its citizenship to all Palestinians and Israelites, watch as it crashes and burns like Lebanon.
A better idea would be to repartition the land post-WWII Europe style. Draw new borders, load everyone into the trucks and dump on the right side of the border. Make Jerusalem a special city under UN mandate. However, we'll need a massive war for that to deflate the balls on both sides.
A plausible idea is going back to 1967 borders, evicting all the settlers, abandoning the pursuit of right of return and covering the land with UN peacekeepers.

One side of this conflict believes in granting full liberties, citizenship and equality to everyone irrespective of ethnicity, gender, religion and sexual orientation. That's not propaganda, it's simple established fact. It's as true in the United States as it is in Australia. It is you who have "bought the propaganda" because you draw a moral equivalence between democratic countries and Islamist thugs who would kill you for your atheism and sexual orientation without a moment's thought.

The Islamist side of this conflict believes that:
- Their faith should be imposed on others;
- Democracy is an abomination, and an illusion, and a mere product of Zionist propaganda;
- Women are next to nothing. If a woman offends her family's "honour" she should be killed;
- The punishment for adultery, apostasy, conversion from Islam to another faith, blasphemy and other crimes against the faith is death (as is currently practised in Iran and as would have been the case in Turkey if it were not for the international outcry against it).

There is no equivalence.
