        Grab a Nissan Leaf.

I have a Nissan currently but hate their most recent designs. And don't get me started on names. Note? Juke? I've never heard of a Leaf but it fits the pattern. And WTF is a Qashqai anyway?

Indeed, with a few notable exceptions - well, one notable exception - Formula 1 is a British Industry.

btw - I love my Vauxhall Astra hot-hatch. The Mk 5 Astra was one of the most successful cars sold in Britain last decade, and there must be some reason why the Old Bill liked them.

But we aren't and they failed epically, and quite rightly so.

Volvo XC60. Apparently good to drive, very comfortable, good-looking and very low depreciation.

If you really want to moisten gussets, you can just afford an Alfa-Romeo Turismo. It will break, but it's lovely.

Typically Italian - pretty to look at but unreliable and will break down at the first opportunity Not really a fan of 4x4 cars...never saw the appeal myself.

You could try Mondeo. 20k should give you a pretty decent/new version. It will probably be belgian made, but that's half german.

During the world wars, it was German. But they are supposed to be a very good car. In fact I had one as a hire car. The best ones I had were that and the A4. Not too impressed by the Vectra though.

Holy ****ing christ For fun I tried to look at some random used car site (fish4cars) and now I have a huge depression

You can get a 2011 mondeo for ~20K while the same here costs around 38K

Get an A3, with 5 doors for the little Harrisons. Er, ok, for the higher resale value.
