Of course not. It's too far back to be tidally effected. Try to pay attention, this is elementary geography.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

What sort of bread is cuddling? Sounds like some kind of rice pudding.

I can understand people fleeing storm zones but I am always surprised at the idea that some people dont have enough food and water on hand to last a few days if they stay at home and the shops close. Maybe its my rural upbringing (or Mrs Flubbers costco shopping) but we have enough food and drink for weeks and weeks. In two weeks our milk would be gone but we probably have a hundred juice boxes and 24 bottles of gatorade plus pop, beer and water. If the power went, hell I might have to eat meat every night to clean out our freezer-- if the gas went I might have to alternate cooking on the coleman stove with our little propane BBQ-- as long as my house isnèt flooded out or ripped apart--we would be fine

Yes cuddling is big during natural disasters and there is usally a resulting birthrate spike. My first born was created as a result of being caught in a disaster zone. It was called Edmonton on a normal weekend

Flubber, you survivalists in your vast rural expanses can have barns full of orange juice, but for us high-density urbanites space is at a premium and we tend to live out of local shops.

You do not need a barn-- Just in my pantry I see about 30 boxes of Kraft dinner, probably 30 cans of assorted soups, 10 lbs of potatoes , a case of juiceboxes and 3 2kg jars of peanut butter. The only stuff we would run out of quickly-- as would you, is the fresh fruit-- we usually only have sufficient for 4-5 days at most

Indeed, the Hudson estuary is considered as running all the way up to its join with the Mohawk at Troy...

actually, the hudson river is affected by tides south of the waterford dam.
