I know! A person shoplifts a DVD from a store and then later buys another, different DVD from the same store. No harm, no foul.Originally posted by loinburger View PostIn addition, there is an X% chance (say, 10%) that somebody who pirates a DVD will later buy it (I dunno, to get the DVD extras or whatever). There is a 0% chance that somebody who shoplifts a DVD will later buy the DVD.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

The difference is that the producers want to get paid so they create certain rules pertaining to the use of their property. It isn't immoral to check things out at the library because you're following the rules. And free isn't immoral. Only proud people insist on paying for everything.Originally posted by Donegeal View PostWhat about getting a DVD from the library?I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Many file sharing sites share data that was donated by someone who bought it.Originally posted by ColdWizard View PostYou only say that because libraries buy their material (or have it donated by someone that bought it).
