Well, Perry is trying to peel some of the tea-***** off of Bachmann so he said Friday that creationism should be taught in schools (which is illegal), he claimed there were serious gaps and errors in the theory of evolution, and he claimed that vast numbers of scientists were secretly faking all of their research in order to hood wink people into believing global climate change is real when it is fake. Of course, he's lying because no scientists have been found to be faking AGW data (and it's a very open peer reviewed system which anyone can jump in on) but they're trying to replicate the same strategy they use against the science of modern biology (wrt evolution).Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

I miss the old style Republicans like William F. Buckley. Sure, he was conservative but his postions were at least based on reality and facts and if evidence came forward he was willing to change his position. That was reasonable. Modern Republicans are simply anti-intellectual dumbasses who hate anyone with an education claiming they're an elitist. As if Jon Six Pack who dropped out of high school knows a damn thing about the science behind evolution or Climate change. No, old Joe just needs to think with his gut and go with his gut feelings instead of using logic or facts. In their world facts are to be ignored if you don't like them, anyone with an education or training is suspect, and everyone's opinion is equal so ignore the experts.Last edited by Dinner; August 21, 2011, 03:46.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

There's nothing wrong with elitism, so long as it is earned.
If you're running to be the most powerful person on Earth, you'd better damned well be elitist: if you don't think you're better and smarter than everyone else, why the hell are you running?"My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine
"The subject of onanism is inexhaustable." --Sigmund Freud

No, of course not.
One needn't be an elite to be elitist. As I said, there is nothing wrong with elitism so long as it is earned."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine
