Mein Gott. They sent out a pamphlet to their subscribing members. Are you saying they are engaged in a deliberate plan to prevent those who share their views from voting?

No, they didn't. Read the link I posted, they mailed it out Deomcrats, they mailed out invalid absentee ballots with the wrong date on it, the Koch brothers have been doing this for years so, no, it isn't an accident but part of a large systematic attempt to supress the vote of likely democratic voters. Just as the Republicans have made it a policy to restrict access to absentee ballots, to scrub voter rolls, to tighten voting requirements, to make sure polling stations are not equally distributed (so that Republican areas have tons of voting stations so there is no line while Democratic areas have hours long waits to vote; all so "enemy" voters will give up and go home instead of vote), and a million other dirty tricks. There have been whole books written about these dirty tricks by not just Democrats but ex-Republicans. You don't know a damn thing about what you are talking about so why don't you take this opportunity to shut your mouth until you do figure out which way is up?

This **** has been going on for decades and it's getting worse not better.

        1. The Democrats probably don't have this group's entire mailing list on hand. They don't know who it's being sent out to in a comprehensive manner. They can only claim that those who they believe to be Democrats are receiving it.
        2. In the absence of such proof, the Democrats' claims that they are being targeted deliberately are speculative.
        3. The Democrats never claim that Democrats on their list didn't sign up for this group. You'll note that they are very careful not to make this claim. It is an essential aspect of your allegation.
        4. The group's statement that it is mailing this to their members is credible. No denial of the same has been offered or is forthcoming.
        5. In other words, Democrats probably signed up for the mailing list of this group. And they got the wrong date and they complained. Mountain, meet molehill.

You're simply wrong. Here's a man who filed a law suit against the Republican advocacy group because he never signed up for it and it is just the latest in a long line of voter suppression tricks used by the right wing.

Living in the midwest has taught me that the repugs should be paying attention to who's voting and try to police it. Up north of us the Demorats routinely give booze and cigarettes to homeless people to entice them to vote. Chicago Dems vote long after their deaths. There was one precinct where not a single repug vote was tallied. Nothing suspicious at all.

While I'll admit that most of the REPUGS efforts in this area are self-serving, sometimes it actually unearths irregularities by the other side.

Nope. The obvious point of the thread was to take the all too easy potshots at Moby. Who cares about the real world implications.

On the way to work today someone had strung up a bunch of Syrian Flags from the overpasses on Lee Highway (one of the main roads leading into DC) and little messages like "STOP THE BLOODSHED" and "FREE SYRIA".

Right, because that's exactly what we need right now. Another war.

Uhh.... when people say "free tibet!" do you assume they want to go to war with China?

I'm not sure what they want, actually, because I can't think of a damn thing that they can do that would actually bring about a free tibet.

Honestly, gribbler, given the UN response to Libya was bombing the crap out of them, what do you think the UN is going to do to punish Assad? They've already put sanctions in place.

They're referring to the free tibet in every packet of cornflakes.

                            I stand corrected.

Hey, I was all about saving lives. None of the rest of the **** where the French and English can't help with their amateurish regime change meddling. My conscience is clear.
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?
