Mine was leftover pasta pesto (green) complimented with fuet and anchovies, topped with sprinkling of mature cheddar and loads of basil leaves cos my basil plants have gone mental this year!

I actually had to look up what fuet is but it looks good.

I have about one and a half left over from my business trip to the Ebro last month. I still have about 150g of the acorn fed jamon iberico, the wine went ages ago!

It varies. I usually go out to eat with co-workers. Subway, Five Guys, Chipotle, and Red Hot & Blue are frequent venues.

Read the OP. I don't care what you eat for lunch.

They're basically asking you because they're feeling sorry for you and want to make you feel better about yourself.

We refined your crappy thread and are basically belittling your poor sense of taste and dietary choices. Not to mention the fact that what I made was probably cheaper than your 'cheap' ready made crap.

Ugh. That's disgusting. I hate people so much.

Well, of course. I don't make very good decisions.

No lunch. Ran a PFT for my lunch break...

Every other day at work I nuke a store-bought frozen meal for lunch. And every time I do, someone looks at what I'm eating and exclaims, "That looks/smells good! What is it?!"

And I think to myself, it's a ****ing ready-made piece of crap I randomly picked out of the freezer aisle at Safeway. It's **** compared to real food and the only reason I'm eating it is because it's cheap. Seriously, you think this looks/smells good?

                    But I say, "Oh, it's Safeway Select/Stouffer's/Marie Callender's. Yeah, it's good."

Why do people want to know where I got my crappy frozen lunch from?
Now to actually respond to your OP...

Are you an aspberger? They ask this stuff to make conversation. See, our species is a social species and has this urge to communicate with others and show interest in what is going on in the lives of others so that others may show interest in their own lives. Even something as mundane as food is a popular topic of conversation since we all eat, and, during a meal break at work, it's what we're all doing at the same time and probably in the same room.

Today, however, you'd be more prone to seeing people huddled over their food with a sandwich or fork in one hand and a smartphone in the other, shunning any interaction with their peers.

Dunno where YOU work. Where I work we engage in conversations of vast intellectual weight such as how thoroughly wasted Person A got while at Person B's apartment last weekend and whether or not Person B actually peed off a bridge.

There's beer in the fridge at the office. And a bottle of tequila. My boss truly does not give a ****.

However, this job has been very informative to me--I am now even more convinced that getting drunk is a terrible idea, although my co-workers appear to believe otherwise.

Your post irritates me for a multitude of reasons but I digress

Dude, I'm with you on that no smell thing. Instead of subtle flavors, I generally use a lot of heat in my cooking. Crushed red peppers, chilis, and if I'm feeling lucky, habanero.

Fish and rice for lunch today. I would estimate such a meal costs roughly 30 cents.
