That was pretty good, actually. But no I don't.

When we were younger in high school it was common practice to swim naked. High school was already traumatic without that gem.

I am WELL AWARE of the sugar content in milk. The difference is milk provides protein that orange juice doesn't... therefore, it's a worthwhile trade-off

And anyway, milk still has LESS grams of sugar per serving than orange juice.

So why does the "Nutritiondata" website give orange juice a higher "optimum health" rating than milk?

That, or sugar simply has no negative impact whatsoever absent extreme quantities.
                Unbelievable!

You'd have to review their standards and what they consider 'optimum health'. They may also be weighing the saturated fat content of milk against it.

Milk has a better "nutrient score" by their measure, as well.

They give a little more than 2 stars for OJ for "weight gain" but only 1 star for milk for "weight gain"

Yes, because if you want to gain weight, orange juice is the way to go over freaking milk

I remember those orange juice commercials...

I guess that's also why they call that brand of protein shakes Muscle Orange Juice, as well

Whenever, I try to diet I wake up in the middle of the night with cravings for cake, cookies and ice cream. I would much rather eat what I want and work out than to deny myself. Diet soda is terrible.

Pax, I'm pretty sure those cravings will go away as soon as you truly commit to avoiding those things. You don't really get an urge for something if you haven't had any of it for 6 months, would you? Cut off the sugar, stick with it despite your cravings, and I'm certain those cravings will eventually go away.

Though ice cream isn't too bad (unless you're lactose intolerant), especially if you go for the natural varieties. Cookies, cakes, and other pastries, though... I never touch that stuff.

To be fair, both are perfectly fine. Balance and moderation and variety are the key.

I drink about one 20 oz. bottle of diet soda a day.
