Did you ever get around to laying down with your head tilted back?
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Cold Pack in the Back of your Neck.

^^ tipping your Head back should lead to the Blood going in your Stomach which may make you feel sick.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Is it gushing or something? A nose bleed isn't comprised of buckets of blood, under normal circumstances. If it's all that, yeah, he's likely dead by now.

I'd then do whatever they said, either follow their advice, see my doctor for free later that day, see the out of hours doctor at Westcall or go and get checked out at A&E.

None of which would cost me any money at that point. Not sure how it could be any better in this example.
Of course it costs you money. In the form of relatively high taxes, in your case. In North America you'll pay less taxes, and contribute more to your own healthcare.

                  No.

Doctor visits are free. ER, your family doctor, physicals, etc.

I'm more curious what caused the blow...

Generally, I don't think a blow to the nose could stop any bleeding.

I said "at that point". Also, we pay less than half per capita what they pay in the US and have superior life expectancy, lower infant mortality etc.

yeah i remember this. a small fee to deter the 'worried well' from going to the GP surgery all the time. they do it in a lot of places in europe. i think it's a good idea, with certain caveats (like exemptions for those with chronic conditions).
