The German Army is trained for Tank Warfare in Europe, not Partisan Supression in the Middle East.

Afghanistan is now in the Middle East?

The tectonic plates certainly are busy these days.

Don't worry. Cort Haus is being an uninformed fool.

As you can see, there is no Middle East tectonic plate and the area of the Middle East is spread across numerous plates.

And just quoting Cort Haus in case he tries to back out of this one:

I'm always being called German. Last time I was in Germany I was asked by an American couple for directions. After I gave them I overheard one of them say as they walked off "These Germans speak such good English!".

Pedantic how? He would only have been pedantic if the Middle East was actually on its own tectonic plate (that excludes Afghanistan) but it is not! Therefore, not a pedant. He's uninformed.

He tried to be a smart-ass and he was exposed.

As I recall reports have often found in the past that Germany's soldiers are the fattest and least fit in all of NATO.

Poor Germany. They've fallen so far their soldiers from the Franco-Prussian war to WW2 wouldn't even recognize them.

Speer, you couldn't spot a joke if it slapped you in your face.

Did you really think that I was being serious? It was a cheap quip about Afghanistan not being in the Middle East. No offence, but do you have some sort of Autism thing going on which prevents you from detecting a bit of light-hearted banter?

I'll tell you what, just put me on ignore to spare further misunderstandings like this.

After all, I'm not from Philly so nothing I say can possibly be worthwhile to you.

And to further explain, I didn't really think that the ME has it's own tectonic plate. I say this because you seem to have trouble understanding how humour works in places other than your own head.

Sadly, modern day Japanese are more interested in sniffing used panties worn by teen girls which they bought out of a vending machine then in fighting to the death with anyone.

It's a function of how often someone supplies air support especially close air support during active ground combat. The more planes you have in the air and the more times they use their weapons then the more often there are opportunities for mistakes to be made.

Well... here's an idea... just throwing it out there...

Since the German's are basically useless in Afghanistan, maybe, just maybe, we could use them as NATO suicide bombers? It could help their national karma...

                                Just an idea...
There's nothing wrong with the dream, my friend, the problem lies with the dreamer.
