Blacks vote overwhelmingly for a Black face when one is available. Why wouldn't they vote for a face that makes the average Black face better off?

Combine both and you get this:

I guarantee he'll never go below 80% unless he ran against another Black democrat.

      What, another unsubstantiated claim?

Do I need to bring out citations showing they commit more violent crime than the average American too? Seriously how naive and/or ignorant do people get?

I don't think there is a single example in the electoral history of the US of a Black man running against a White/Asian/Indian man and getting less than 70% of the Black vote.

        • Why don't you want Black people to care about other Black people gribbler? What do you dislike them or something?

Dude, most blacks vote for the Democratic party in every election. Find a black republican running against a white democrat... according to you most blacks would vote republican in that race

                  • Hera, here's an example of a black running against a white and not winning the black vote:

                    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...Maryland,_2006
He did win the white vote. America is so racist!

I would bet that they likely would in a presidential election. If Colin Powell had run against John Kerry, who do you think they would have voted for?

Nobody likes Michael Steele, not even Republicans. Of course he didn't win.
If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

I guess I was wrong. Thanks for bringing up the example.

If other elections of this kind hold up to this pattern, this demonstrates that when economic interests and a face are at odds Blacks vote for economic interests. Both the face and the economic interests help however, I'm sure you agree.

Edit: Do most such elections turn out this way? I guess there aren't too many but there must be more than one example...

There are two current Black Republican congressmen who defeated white Democrats in the 2010 election but there's no exit polls with racial breakdown for those elections.

No, I don't think very many people voted based on the skin color of the candidate.

I hate to do this but... Don't you think more Blacks came out and voted for Obama than would have come out to vote for Hillary or some other Democratic candidate?

How would you know how many blacks would have come out and vote of Hillary had been the candidate?
