My professional field is dominated by Indians. Is this good or bad?

It is because of this that it is possible to trust a professional to begin with; you know that he will not just tell you what you want to hear.

      Damn Davidians.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

I am quite aware of the fact that there is a vast and unbridgeable chasm between the real and the ideal. It is probable that 99.9% of 'professionals', aren't. Most are willing to sell whatever little dignity they have for a 2.3% increment. However, the fact remains that the ideal, formal, and practical definitions of the word 'professional' exist, and that there exist (at least a few) individuals who fit each of these definitions.

(A semantic quibble, but a significant one nonetheless. Without 'professionals' in the ideal sense, the world of free software and the creative commons would not exist; I think this is sufficient to show the significance of even a few such people.)
