Per usual, it's your meaningless oral flatulance. You know little about me and even less about Herman Cain. Perhaps this is a poor attempt to troll but I doubt it, I think it's the best attempt at discussion you can manage. It's sad, really. We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

Some would say that "professional politicians" (whose main interest is in getting re-elected) are the problem with government. Government experience could be seen as a negative and lack of it as a plus.Originally posted by gribbler View PostWell, I'd say government experience is a start. We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

So where most people would italicize, you unitalicize. Interesting. Makes sense, though.Originally posted by self biased View Postwell, he is an idiot."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

What's my kind?Originally posted by Boris Godunov View PostI was just surprised, since most Republicans are rather hostile towards his kind.
I'm actually hostile to most Republican kind, frankly... I don't like those of HC/Kuciwalker background... I don't like Southerners... I don't like religious retards..."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

And some might say "professional scientists" (whose main interest is in getting grants) are the problem with science. Your argument is that if an outsider gets elected, he won't worry about getting re-elected? I don't find that very convincing. I also don't see what is so bad about a politician wanting to convince his constituents to vote for him again.Originally posted by SpencerH View PostSome would say that "professional politicians" (whose main interest is in getting re-elected) are the problem with government. Wonderful!
The focus on acquiring grants is a problem with science (especially in the USA) and it is one that I've *****ed about for years but there's nothing I can do about it except discuss it when appropriate. I also agree that scientific "experience" can have positive and negative effects. Many, many, significant discoveries are made by inexperienced students and junior post-docs before they become jaded by the system. Often, though, they follow those discoveries for the rest of their lives in 'narrow tracks' rather than continue to explore new venues (which may not get funded anyway).Last edited by SpencerH; June 3, 2011, 14:02.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

I'm not denying the existance of politicians that work for the people and who wish to be re-elected, nor am I saying that attempting to become re-elected is a bad thing. I simply believe that the quest for political power has become a career path for too many politicians of both sides and that those are precisely the people that shouldnt be given power. In a sense, it's the difference between Washington and Jefferson (although I acknowledge Jeffersons contributions).Originally posted by gribbler View PostYour argument is that if an outsider gets elected, he won't worry about getting re-elected? I don't tend to recite what I type aloud unlike I suppose you do, so I'm not sure how that constitutes anything "oral." But I can only judge based on the paranoid delusions you've posted here on the site, and I've read plenty of the actual words of Herman Cain. You've both raved about some universal Muslim call to take over the world which doesn't really exist except in your addled minds. In fact, I'm beginning to think we've found where you've gotten your crazy ideas from...Originally posted by SpencerH View PostPer usual, it's your meaningless oral flatulance.
