    21. Give up on the ****ing Marines. You can have the gay sex you crave in the other service branches, as well.

You're right, Albie. Your life is great and there is no need to change anything. Just because you're 26, don't have a job, haven't had a job for years, have no prospect for a job, don't have a car, live with family (I believe), and never had a girlfriend (I wonder why ) doesn't mean you need to change anything or do anything different. Heck, in another three years maybe the Marines will even break down and decide to hire you. Just because that hasn't worked out in the last three years doesn't mean you shouldn't flush another three years of your life down the toilet, right?

What is this no job for years thing about? I JUST QUIT CHECKERS LAST TUESDAY! I left my job before that in January 2010 to go to OCS.

And I already said I haven't lived with family since I was 16. TEN ****ING YEARS AGO. Do you even read my posts in direct response to you?

Army is the easiest. Navy after that. The Air Force is after smarts and will test you to death. Having said that, I wouldn't have wanted to be in anything but Air Force.

            22. The Air Force is the most worthless service branch; don't consider them until after the Coast Guard has rejected you.

Albie, you said you hadn't lived with your mom but didn't you used to live with some other family members? Would you own up to it if you did? BTW good job on at least having one job in the last three years, that's honestly better then I thought, how long did you work there? I hope you realize you still need to make some serious changes, dude.

One of my crew at Checkers, no lie, did 8 years in the Air Force and has a bachelor's degree (in Sociology, unfortunately... he was a football player)... still, he's a dishwasher and sandwich maker after military service and a degree.

                The economy is ****ed.

I don't live with family. And one job in last three years? I've posted my resume. I worked for Sodexo from 2006-2010; worked at Wachovia concurrently with Sodexo in 2008; and was just working at Checkers for a month.

No. Getting a job will not be a cinch. You would be a graduate in his early thirties starting out on a new career. Your military experience may be of no relevance to your new career. Think about that real hard, and think about it now. If you don't then you may finish up with no option but to take a job making sandwiches. Degree qualified sandwich maker doesn't sound like the kind of career you are hoping for.

BTW Nothing wrong with learning a trade. Plumbers, for example, make a very good living. (In this part of the world anyway)

I'm assuming you're arguing with Oerdin. If so, stop; he is giving you good advice.

                      1) after 2 trials and failures (plus whatever ****ed up your most recent try in march) your chances of making it in are getting quite low
                      2) military service with no real work experience does not get you into a top b-school
                      3) military service with no real work experience and mediocre b-school does not get you into I-banking (or any kind of banking, truth be told)

GET ANOTHER PLAN AND BEGIN TO IMPLEMENT IT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE

One of my neighbors is a 60 year old guy who has owned his own plumbing business for almost 40 years. He works long hours but financially does quite well. Even here in expensive Southern California he was able to be the sole bread winner of his family while his wife stayed home with their four kids, he owns his own house, has two new cars which they replace every two years, and he takes his wife on at least one foreign vacation per year. Not bad for "just a tradesman" if you ask me.

Sandwich making is no given either. There will be teenagers out the ass, looking for sandwich maker jobs because WTF else can they do? Throw in other unemployed adults, some with kids, who are willing and desparate.
You should learn a trade, Alby. Seriously. Learn it well, start your own business. My dad tried to tell me the same thing. Naturally, I didn't listen.

albie has this dream that he can get some kind of high pay high prestige job through the military plus business school. If it was that straightforward then all the kids who try and fail to become bankers would do that.

As usual, I bet albie thinks we are ****ing with him. We are not; I for one am actually concerned with your well-being. YOUR PLAN SUCKS AND WILL NOT WORK. GET A NEW ONE.

Or law school after the military.

                                Or any government job.
