Probably because you did such a poor job of covering your agenda that only the dolts actually got interested in it.

So I should have avoided controversial quotes, then.

            In Sloww's absence. Try this:

"it would be gay if I had a picture of a man in the shower all soapy."

"Adolescence was invented in the nineteenth century to enable middle-class families to keep their children out of sweatshops. But it has degenerated into a process of enforced boredom and age segregation that has produced one of the most destructive social arrangements in human history, consigning thirteen-year-old males to learning from fifteen-year-old males. It’s a social experiment that failed."

How did taking teens out of sweatshops and putting them in school fail?

Why would middle-class families have put their children in sweatshops unless it was in apprenticeship to the shop manager, in which case the teens weren't running the looms but instead were learning how to properly flog a miscreant worker.

                            That's likely to be known

Its kinda like Arnold's comment about bending iron bars, "the first rule is they have to bendable". Using a favorite obscure quote isnt gonna work here, the quote has to be reasonably guessable. I googled this one and no-one is gonna get it without clues.

I think he's more interested in spreading propaganda than actually playing the game correctly.

Maybe so but it is an interesting quote, especially when one knows the author.
