The worst blindness is not wanting to see

I'd say having caustic soda put in your eyes. Far more painful.

So have you troglodyted yourself yet?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

go to Germany, the land where there are not enough employees, and where the wages, once you are hired - are set to grow

in the old days that would be enough for people to try and run across the iron curtains, but those new EU-opeans cannot be bothered to get in the car and give a go to better life in the promised land (Germany).

Well you could either buy a yurt or maybe sleep around a lot - sleep with a new person in a new house every day. This becomes more difficult with a family.
