not yet, but you will feel like it once they (everyone not in politics and/or paying politicians off) execute you.

The more federal dollars (or tax exemptions) Congress is able to dole out, the more incentive there is to hire lobbyists. This is really pretty obvious stuff, you can't increase the size of government without increasing the private sector's desire to influence it.

The other thing you have to do is pay federal bureaucrats more. They get paid two to three times as much in the private sector because we pay federal employees too much at the lower levels and too little at the upper levels. Who wouldn't move?

And Guy, I honestly am not sure you know what class warfare is...
The only problem with you theory is that the congressman from your district is supposed to be your advocate to congress.

when the revolution comes, KH won't be important enough to be executed. he probably wouldn't even qualify for a sound beating, maybe just a clip round the ear hole or something. :cheguevara:

And as said, no one said lobbying should be made illegal, but that policymakers who make decisions impacting a certain business should have some limitations in jumping right afterwards to that business and lobbying for them. One can easily see the potential for abuse. Perhaps this Commissioner was totally on the up and up, but it can very easily be seen as Comcast offering a cushy job for said Commissioner based on his vote.
