Question to tornado alley inhabitants

Good to hear on your end, too. My wife woke me up to get downstairs a few seconds before the tree fell, and I doubt I could have heard the sirens over the roar of wind and rain outside the window (not to mention the sound of the tree falling), no matter how loud they were. Just asked her, and she said the sirens are what woke her up, and were plenty loud. Actually, she says they went off twice.

If you live here you have to pay attention to the storms. Fortunately, the weather news is now so good that the official messages from the national weather service announcing a storm or tornado warning or watch actually interrupt more useful info of the exact storm locations, potential tracks, etc. With this last outbreak there were a number of times I was severly pissed off while listening to the news (cos the power was out) and that happened.

I cant take him anymore. When I first moved here he was the only guy with a viper radar and very welcome during storm season but it doesnt take long for the cries of "go to your place of safety" when the tornado is on the other side of the county to wear a little thin.
