      How's that for a promotion? I haven't even worked a day!

I'm actually a little concerned because I did not disclose I was planning on leaving in October. They may have long-term plans for me and I'll be screwing them by only working 5 months. Am I being unethical?

And I have a relatively short summer since FCPS lets out in June but I'm going to college next year.

Once you get settled in, you should be able to up the 5% some.

Sorry, but no thanks. I appreciate the offer though.

HC you just need to be smarter, then you can continue doing little work and keep getting good grades.

I am hoping the 5% does increase. Although it probably won't for a while.

My new task is to audit our code and identify areas to be refactored, as well as provide estimates for how many person-hours it'll take to implement a litany of features they want for the next version.

In a month or two I may get to code again, once this train starts rollin'.

They could have passed a budget all last year and didn't. They didn't even need to break a filibuster--reconciliation was intended for budgets.

You got me there. The Republicans have only stalled the budget process for, what, several months?

You could also say the democrats have stalled it, by not passing it last year like Congress was supposed to and by not ceding more to the Republicans. Like you say, it takes two to have a standoff. Point is, Congress is supposed to pass a budget in the early fall and the Democrats didn't even try.

I think it's clear both parties are partisan.

                          That there is a fact.

I guess Democrats felt they had other priorities, considering that there's no way a Republican house would let gays into the military. So I guess MrFun can take the blame for your unemployment on behalf of all gay people.

I want to say I told you so, but I can't remember if I did. I certainly voted for the other option in that poll.
