      Here is some interesting statistics.

      It shows that alcohol use is about constant, but that drugs goes down and then back up.

            I'm just going off of pop culture references. The 70's were free love and mind-altering drugs... the 80's everyone was on coke or crack... you can't say the same about the 2000's.
