The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

Private sites can do whatever they want within the limits of the law, but if they want people to keep posting at them then they should consider not having retarded staff members with thin skins.

Really? You speak of Ming and his "authoritarian ways", but you were here then. I guess you suffered in silence.
After the ownership change, you blast ownership and say you could just go somewhere else.
This is as simple as you can do?
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Take a breath and read what I wrote. I'll try point form for this post:
1) note the wink after the shot at Ming.
2) I did not "blast ownership", Loin made a similar point.
Poly banning arguments...Some things never change.
The site is better with KH posting...just saying.

There are definitely a lot of drama queens on here. The way a lot of them are carrying on about this.
I think most are concerned with what happened, not who it happened to.
A virtually moderation-free forum just saw a member banned for something that wasn't apparently an offence two days ago. Who's next?
In addition, this same mod changed a poster's thread title to something completely at odds with the topic under discussion with the clear intention of ridiculing the poster in question. Is this acceptable mod behaviour?

I think it does matter for you guys WHO it happened to. If someone much less popular on Apolyton had suffered this same kind of abuse, there would not be a whole thread about it.
On other hand, maybe there still would be, if all you guys really are drama queens.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
I would have posted the same regardless. I don't like arbitrary (ab)use of mod/admin powers. The exceptions have been joke forums that have all died and I no longer remember the names of.
Personally, I would prefer more strict moderation than we currently have but accept that the consensus (and formerly agreed upon model) was for little to no moderation. Whatever is decided it is important to be consistent.
