Well in all fairness, the entirety of my knowledge in this area is derived from the film Cliffhanger, so take it with a grain of salt, but sending trained and sworn peace officers to convey lost or injured hikers just seems like a silly waste of resources to me. Oh well...wouldn't be the first time.
    Unbelievable!

Wouldn't park authorities have some powers of police?

Park rangers in state forests in MD carry guns, as I recall...

          Umm...

While yall want to argue about park rangers, the article makes it clear and I'm surprised Darius missed it (lawyer ). It was the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

          They're a state police force.

Meanwhile I'm surprised you'd suppose I'd read the article at all. Some of us have jobs and such.

Yet you read one specific line in the middle of the article and thought it worthy to quote and ask about. Hmm... And you claim you're too special to have read the article.

Hmm... Makes a lot of sense.

Is the az dept of public safety a police force? I noticed that line, but I wasn't sure what it was, and was too lazy to google it...

Yes. If you could read my posts, you would have seen where I said it's the state police force. Well, if you can read this post, you would know that.

Or I only scrolled by your post with its quote containing a mere 15.04% of the article, after which I skimmed to where the first quotation mark was, resulting in my actual consumption of only 6.46% of the article. Stop being pedantic.

It's okay to be wrong. Really, Darius. It's okay. You spoke too soon without letting things sink in. I would expect, or at least hope, for more out of an attorney at law, but you're not a computer; you're a human. It's all good.

The fact that he takes anything I say seriously is what's funny to me, not what I say in itself. After so many times it's still so easy...
