Watching the intro over and over is not helping my anxiety for the damn show to start up again like I thought it would.

I just found out something about the cast, and have come to the same conclusion, which is a relief.

    Budgetary reasons, obviously.

    Spoiler:
That is but a minor change from the books, which doesn't need to mean much. In the books, Ramsay fools Theon and makes him open the gates. This time it might be he is taken out before that happens. Not much of a change, no?

I do believe this storyarc will make a slightly different development from the books, though I agree the intention still is to make us wait for the next season to find out what's going on. Truth is, noone can answer that question right now.

Indeed. Good on ya for sniffing out something not quite adding up; all will be revealed in time.

That question will be answered forthwith...you're not supposed to quite know what's going on there yet.

I have a question about the last episode of season 2. Theon was holed up in Winterfell surrounded by 500 men of the North. He proposes to fight his way out, his men knock him out, then when Bran and his group come out of their hiding place the next morning the whole place has been burned down, and all their retainers are dead so they head off north. If the castle was surrounded by the Stark's allies wouldn't they have taken possession of the place even if it was burned? Was there no beseiging force, but his men told him there was becasue they wanted to go home and Theon was so stupid that he didn't bother to look? Were the beseigers actually his sister's men, but Theon was too stupid to recognize them?
