Well, there is said to be ways to get the Wall down. Don't remember how, think one way was the Horn of Joramund?Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a

Winter arrives according to the maesters in the very last chapter of ADWD.
Spoiler:Re: Horn of Joramun, I suspect the horn is just the thing Victarion has that is supposed to control dragons. Big magical phenomena in this series are usually somewhat roundabout and more mundane than they seem. I suspect the ability of the Horn of Joramun to bring the wall down is just from dragons melting it.

Spoiler:Slightly off topic but since this episode dealt with a wedding... In the Purple wedding, when Joffrey gets poisoned, I've been trying to reconstruct exactly how the poison gets into the wine glass but I'm unable to do so. It seems obvious that Olenna plotted the whole thing with Little Finger, LF gets the drunk Florent to get Sansa to unwittingly smuggle the poison into the wedding via her hair net (it's the purple jewel), and certainly one of the Tyrell's does it but it's hard to say which one. GRRM takes great pains to describe where the cup is in the run up and what people are doing, it's clear Garlan Tyrell was near the cup but it last we heard Olenna Tyrell took the poisoned jewel off of Sansa's hair net yet we aren't told where Olenna was standing during events. Did Olenna do it or did she pass the poison off to Garlan and he dropped it into the cup?
Also, wrt Tywin's death, it's obvious that Tyrian's crossbow kills him but there is another interesting theory that Oberon had already poisoned Tywin with Widow's Blood which makes someone unable to **** and then dying of constipation. Pycelle had described the poison to Tyrian and we know that Tywin dined with Oberon just before he was killed and we know that Oberon was an expert at poison who hated Tywin for ordering his sister and her children killed so the Red Viper had means, motive, and opportunity. Hell, Oberon even told Tyrian right before the trial by combat that "your father might not live forever". Finally, we know that Tywin was having trouble passing waste in the bathroom and that his corpse stunk of corruption. It seems like Oberon had already poisoned Tywin with Widow's Blood but that Tyrian killed his father before the poison could finish its work.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Spoiler:I thought it was pretty clear Olenna did it. She gave Sansa the hair piece and knew to take it."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

Spoiler:It's pretty clear that Olenna was the mastermind but I was trying to reconstruct the exact step by step of how the poison ends up in the wine cup. Olenna knew her granddaughter needed one of Cersei's boys if she wanted to become queen but it didn't have to be Joffrey and she knew (from Sansa and probably Little Finger) that Joffrey was a monster so she no doubt set the whole thing in motion. They don't call her the Queen of Thorns for nothing.Last edited by Dinner; May 20, 2013, 21:24.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
