That's why they don't want any sort of "sex education" in kindergarten... they don't want the kids to know what to do if a grown-up touches them in uncomfortable ways.

Submit, and like it damn it.

Spencer, on this mannequin can you describe where the TSA officer touched you?

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

The advertising market for 1 and 2 year olds is limited.

Yeah, constantly bombarding small children with advertisements for worthless crap is a much better model.

Seriously, do we want more kids watching the Disney Channel?

Not really. Not at all actually. Kids are a pretty easy wedge into parent's wallets.

Yep, by advertising to kids you can manufacture desires for stuff they would have been perfectly happy without.

Whining about advertisements and the Disney channel doesn't answer the question of why federal monies should be used to support a foam purple dinosaur, cartoon aardvark, and a large yellow bird. If these offerings are so great why should the be allowed to subsist on the dole when private stations would be more than willing to put such highly rated programs on the air at no cost to the state?

Do you understand why advertisements exist? It's not because of low ratings.

Yes. Do you understand that I consider your complaints about them are irrelevant to the question?

Apparently you don't, because you're incapable of understanding why someone who doesn't like bombarding kids with advertisements might not be so keen on handing children's television over to The Free Market™.

There's a wonderful word you and more parents need to discover when dealing with their spawn when they ask for the latest thing they saw on TV. It's called No.
