I've found a shop not that far away from me. He says that he have some 500 single malts in stock and after a visit I don't doubt. That is one thing.

Another is that there was a 3x2 meter rack filled with Isle of Islay whiskeys. LIES, you may cry - there are only 7-8 distilleries on the island, and yes, you are right. Problem is that say a standard Caol Ila is made up by a number of caskets put together to make a "standard Caol Ila".

It appears that there are some people that buys caskets from say Caol Ila, saves them for a number of years and then bottle them.
