I need something for walking golf courses

My buddy has Microsoft Zune and he's happy, but I'm computer ignorant with not exactly a blazing connection and I'm clueless about how to upload/download tunes to a device...

    recommendations?

If I get an mp3 player or something do I pay some website to dl their music?

              thx MRT

is it a hassle to dl music?

I dont even like using a credit card on the internet so it would be nice if buying the device came with a subscription etc

Technically it can, but itunes hates the newer version of windows, let alone old XP that they barely program for. :/ You might have luck or a headache its not consistent...

I have a SanDisk Sansa. I dragged (copied) music from the PC to it. No big deal.

i had luck with a Sansa Fuse, most people i know loved it for a basic mp3 player. I've moved on to the more complex ipod touch 4g now though, but i wanted to throw that out at you.

hmm...I can load music from my own very extensive collection - I could run a radio station - and burn cds so I should be able to do that much
