As ever, your posts are paragons of English virtue. Thank you for your continued poetic contributions to this site.

I saw on TV that far more Japanese have died from radiation poisoning than any other nationality in the history of the world!
I don't know. I would guess and say that all humans are the same. True, from the bombs dropped.

Yes, thank you for pointing out that I am a cumwad. Your insults are simply Shakespearean in their elegance.

Yet another example of brilliant deductive reasoning.

If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

                      Let's set the record straight.

Dfg is an expert on circuses, and Olgie is the real expert on nuclear safety.

I agree my expertise is quite limited compared to the SRO's at the plants.

You might well know more about the operation of the plants though. RSOs are more physicists than they are engineers.

EDIT: sorry, misread your sro as rso...

Got the acronym wrong. SRO = Senior reactor operator. (these ar ethe guys that run the control rooms) These guys are all degreed engineers likely coming up through the navy program but have years upon years of training and/or ops knowledge speciifc to the given reactor design and site specifics.

Its hard to acutally translate the expertise and level of training these guys get. I'm a generalist that works across theindustry on various models and flavors of reactors and more particularly the interfacing systems Balance of Plant (BOP)
. What knowledge I get is typically first and formeost from the plant Safety Analysis Reports (SAR's) and tech specs. (in other words their permitted licensing operating conditions)

The SROs are epxected to know the systems inside and out.
