From what I recall the worst Pu product of nukes is Pu-241 (which is most prevalent after fuel has been burning for a while). This undergoes beta decay to Am-241, which has a half life of a few hundred (a thousand?) years

The americium is an alpha emitter, and is fairly active without decaying quickly on human timescales.

pu-242 has been claimed to have some kind of radiobiological effect (I actually doubt that it's noticeable, despite this). OTHER ISOTOPES OF PLUTONIUM ARE MORE RADIOTOXIC THAN CHEMICALLY TOXIC.

The seawater does not slow the reaction. The boron absorbs neutrons and slows the reaction. Normally, light water reactors use their water moderators to actually increase the reaction (by thermalizing neutrons so they become more easily absorbed).
