If you were so rich I'd imagine you'd have a lot of shoes already and might not need so many new ones.

Overconsumption is leading to deforestation and the loss of farm land. Soon there will be no real bananas. Just the GM ones that Monsanto says can be planted in the residue of our toenail clippings in any convenient spot in our alloted ten square feet. They taste like ****. There may still be those super expensive ones the EU will grow in Poland once the climate changes central Europe into the tropics, but they will have banned export of their real food by that time. They'll need it all unless they relax their ban on GM imports, but after the anti-science movement takes over I doubt that will be very likely.

That doesn't make any sense. The google tells me that it's basically 1:1 for Australian and American dollars. Bananas cost a dollar a pound here in the US.

Either your Australian bananas weigh a pound or they are a lot more expensive in Australia than in the US
