I'd make cheese... maybe even beer as well. I like making stuff I enjoy.

What would you do in a post-scarcity world?

Do you think that in lack of need people will elevate want? If I have everything I need would I just want more of whatever it is I would want? If that's the case than how can a human's thirst for happiness ever be sated? Contentment breeds dissatisfaction with the thing we have and thus sparks desire and motive. It's like the quest for perfection, and the need of a master artist to include an intentional flaw. I would life to see hunger and thirst disappear, and religions to unify, and peace to thrive, but then what would we wage war over?
If we all agreed, we would have nothing to talk about.

Either your Australian bananas weigh a pound or they are a lot more expensive in Australia than in the US
Bananas are much cheaper at the fruit shop. I hope this clears up the subject of relative banana prices in a trans-Pacific context.

So that shop down the road is scandalously charging exorbitant prices for bananas?"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

They are indeed charging scandalously exorbitant prices for bananas.
OTH It is a convenience store. Convenience stores charge scandalously exorbitant prices for everything, including bananas. When one is in a convenience store it becomes quite clear that one is not living in a post-scarcity world.

You can get all the bananas you want here, for "free" if you're willing to go harvest them up in the mountains. In market they'll cost you ~P15/kg. If you write me an article about your experience and how healthy it was, you can afford a kg and still have a bit of change left over!

I appreciate the sentiment. I could buy it if I wanted (with my Paypal money that's being held hostage by Paypal and Ebay). Could even ship over my gaming computer to play it. But no time to get into a civ-like (as far as time required) game, and sounds like it isn't that civ-like in that manner anyways
