OK, I admit it, I'm a bit of a zombie movie afficionado...
We all know about the Night/Dawn/Day series and remakes, then there's the Resident Evil series and lately the excellent Walking Dead TV series!
But what about those lesser known zombie movies out there?
We do zombie movies here in the UK too. I'm assuming the yanks have probably heard about 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, but if you haven't, they're both pretty good. But have you heard about Colin? A zombie flick from the perspective of the zombie?
Then there's the foreign language zombie films (though I'm guessing a zombie going "Uhhhuungh" is pretty universally understood!) which I've been slowly working my way through:
There's the wonderfully awesome Dead Snow from Norway, featuring Nazi zombies attacking a group of young medical students on a ski trip trapped in a chalet in the middle of the snowy mountains!
We're planning on a trip to Paris in the spring, so I always start brushing off the dusty French skills by watching some French language movies, so why not The Horde, a French Zombie Movie!!!
It was a surprisingly good flick (that's also a cop in French, so it definitely helped my French to remember that!) where some cops and gangsters have to join forces in a tower block after the usual zombie apocalypse descends. Lots of great action and gore...!
The Spanish are also in on the act with the critically acclaimed [Rec] and [Rec]2. Has anyone seen these at all as they look awesome?
Anything else out there that I haven't covered...?
