I'm not holding out for only my dream job, and nothing else. I'm applying for various types of work: clerical/office, public library, state government jobs, and even data entry jobs.

I'm thinking about getting back into adjunct teaching at a community college again. My dream job would be full-time community college teaching, but that's somewhere down the road.

There seem to be a number of Polytubbies struggling with depression. I know it helps to have others to talk to, share with and work through problems together. I wonder if you, Lorizael, and anyone else in need of help would be interested in a weekly online chat session where you guys just talk about anything and everything.

          I think it could help.

Hmmmm . . . . that's an idea. Maybe there is a good quality blog support group online for those with mental illnesses.

But anyway, starting Monday, I'm going to go to a free support group for those with depression.

All you folks who thought it was bad when Imran and company tried to talk God to depressed Lori, take note. This is the real hardcore tasteless shiznit here.

MrFun, the good news is, you clearly have a lot of people who care about you to help you. The bad news, aside from the stuff you mentioned, is that it looks like you're stuck in Iowa. Now, there's hope; it could be you just haven't updated your location field or something. But it's far more likely that you are, in fact, in Iowa, surrounded by about a billion acres of corn. I'm not sure what can be done about this, but do NOT commit suicide; you'll go straight to Iowan hell, which is basically the same as Iowa except all the corn is that nasty candy corn. If you're going to escape Iowa, I suggest you do it relatively soon, before the primaries hit.

I don't have a problem living in a city in eastern Iowa - it's the fact that I'm out here in RURAL eastern Iowa still, that adds to my social isolation. I would have no problems moving back to Davenport, Iowa (part of Quad Cities area) as most of my good friends live there and I have lived there before for quite some time before I moved.

Here's an idea for you. Why don't you **** off? Pretty good idea, I think.

Lincoln's father was a farmer... so no doubt he did some farm work. You could consider it a form of research?
