Well, nomatter how much you don't like it, we have our guns and nobody is going to take them from us.
your farting in the wind when you complain about us having guns
Assuming that you can't do what I suggested in the edit and swipe the thing while the driver's out, how do you even know what's in the vehicle? Where is he going to stop so you can jack his ride, without there being lots of people around to see? How are you going to violently hijack a large, cumbersome vehicle and not get caught by the cops?
And why can't you just quietly swipe stuff in smaller loads, avoiding all this hassle and attention to begin with?
Hijacking tankers? Gasoline, or other noxious chemicals? Either way, congrats, you just bought yourself a crap-ton of Federal attention. They might have assumed a guy ganking a big rig was just high or an escaped convict or what-have-you. Stealing a tanker is like yelling "HEY WHAT UP I'M PLANNING SOME CRAZY VIOLENT **** OVER HERE" on a megaphone. Only more so.
And I don't see why the Cuban Revolution can't be considered a successful revolution by people with limited weapons against a nation's military. Castro and a few hundred men armed with next to nothing took over an entire country with a military armed with tanks and aircraft.
Because that had little to do. When Che went to try the same thing in Bolivia, and lacked popular support, he was rotundly unsuccessful.
The difference? The support, or lack of, the majority of the country's (un-armed) population.

You're assuming the **** hasn't already hit the fan.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
Oh, so it's hijacking AND kidnapping. Instead of just swiping the thing at a diner, you haul the driver around with you, so you have a witness/hostage to worry about. Much better.
You're assuming the **** hasn't already hit the fan.
If you're going to have any prayer of succeeding, you're going to need to be well past the pistols-and-deer-rifles stage (ie, what this whole argument was about) by the time "the **** hits the fan."
We're talking revolution. What's a little kidnapping between friends?
A pointless, amateurish complication. You just took it from "stolen vehicle" to "stolen vehicle + missing person," on the grounds that stealing both makes it somehow less likely to attract attention. The guy could escape (you're going to have to kill him eventually, or else set him free), he could be packing himself, any number of things could go wrong. The whole idea is just bad.
WRT to the Black Panther Party advocacy, I am about as enthused to receive that endorsement as say the KKK, or Modern Day Nazi party.
As for WACO example, my point stands, the limited resistance did spark the beginnings of outrage (given it was extremely mollified dure to the insane cult ideology), however unless I am seriously misjudging my country a large scale massacre of citizenry by the government would cause large scale unrest and military defection.
Outrage!? A bunch of whackos held out at the aptly named Waco and all died - frankly they were useless to society so death was the best thing for them - not to mention saving the US taxpayer a ton of money!
