  • Again... you are assuming what others think and believe... you just make up stuff and spew it out mindlessly, and think that makes you right and superior to others... Go study your religion some more... really understand it and practice it properly.

You are a poor excuse for a christian.

I had a feeling that you would make this hard on yourself.

Forgiveness is typically defined as the process of concluding resentment, indignation or anger as a result of a perceived offense, difference or mistake, and/or ceasing to demand punishment or restitution.[1] The Oxford English Dictionary defines forgiveness as 'to grant free pardon and to give up all claim on account of an offense or debt'.

As far as my religion is concerned you would do well to learn it. See the Parable of the Prodigal Son, specifically regarding the older son.

          • Again.. your insulting tone is so unchristian... and you make assumptions on what others believe.
And your typical response is just to cut and paste more irrelevant crap thinking it makes you look like you know what you are talking about, while instead, it just is more proof of your lack of understanding of your own supposed faith.

Go learn how to be a real christian before you attempt to convert others. The example you provide now is not worthy of a christian and just mocks yours supposed beliefs.

                • I don't know much about religion, this is my take:

Catholic Christians: Do not eat peanut butter, for it is a sin. Please contribute to the church to repent your sins.
Protestant Christians: Let's discuss if peanut butter is good or bad for you. Following the discussion, follow the consensus on interpretation.
Buddhism: There is no peanut butter. There is only suffering.
Judaism: The peanut butter belongs to us. It's only fair that you give it to us, we're the chosen ones after all.
Sunni Muslims: Follow the rules of the peanut butter, and you will burn slightly less in hell.
Salafic Muslims: There will be 72 units of crunchy peanut butter waiting for you in heaven, if you make others listen to the peanut butter rules.
Hinduism: Be just towards the peanut butter, and you will be rewarded in the following life.

Some reformed criminals have far greater morals and values and spirit than those who most people would consider having "Some [morals]".

And by the way... most of us can learn forgiveness without being raped by priests... which you seem to claim is how christians learn forgiveness
                          Try again...

Well quite obviously you haven't learned forgiveness. That much is quite clear.

I'd implore you to take that with a massive grain of salt. Christopher Hitchens is well known as a member of "The New Atheists", a group that believes religion is evil and pollutes everything (I actually believe that's a paraphrase of a tagline for one of Hitchens' books). Was Mother Teresa perfect? Of course not and on some things she had very strange views. But she gave her life in service for those who were dying and even if those dying got basic care, that was far more than they would have gotten on the streets of Calcutta (Westerners tend to look at things with their own cities as comparison, as is natural, but having been to the subContinent, Pakistan in my case, I can tell you the level of poverty and lack of social services is absolutely stunning).

Gee... I guess I'll have to go back and tell all those people that I have forgiven in my long life that Imran doesn't think I really forgave them... They will probably have a similar response, and laugh at you.

This whole concept of needing to understand God to learn forgivenss is just religious garbage.
The fact that a moron wants to say that priests raping children is just all a part of gods plan so that they can learn forgiveness is beyond belief. Again, any God that has that as part of his plan is a piss poor and not a loving god.
Like most things that some people like to attribute to religion, forgiveness depends on the individual, not the religious brain washing they have received.
