      • Is it a sin to not answer a question but say you did?

Unless of course you are implying that all people who talk to god are drug addicts.

I would guess and say as long has it does no harm to ones self or others it is GOD.

He's been routinely and repeatedly avoiding the main question posited by many posters in this forum: providing proof that God exists and thereby showing that his belief in God is not just blind and unfounded faith...

Why are religious people so dishonest?
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

Why are you being dishonest here?

There is a broad range betweenbeing able to provide proof that something exists and blind and unfounded faith. To take an example of physics, a lot of physicists believe that string theory is true. However, it isn't proven (There isn't even experimental evidence for it). That doesn't stop there from being evidence for it.

(I am not even one who thinks that string theory is necessarily true, however, I think that it is reasonable for them to believe so.)

                • To compare it to a scientific theory isn't a fair comparison. With scientific theories there are predictions* that we can test to try and disprove the theory. People may 'believe' that something is the best theory we have at the moment, but a large proportion of scientists spend their time running experiments that can prove, disprove or enhance our understanding of those theories.

                  Religion doesn't make testable predictions.

Also, what you very rarely see is religious people spending a huge amount of time trying to disprove the feelings and 'personal evidence' which they understand to be the basis of their faith. Although psychologists are doing a lot of research into the way religion works with the brain.

*At least there are now some predictions of things that we can test for string theory.

Why would non-materialists spend research time on what materialists spend so much time on? Are you familiar with the extent of research time spent trying to prove the materialist ideology?

Look bud. You don't have to be a psychologist to know that 1) taking drugs makes you mentally ill, 2) mentally ill people are more likely to take drugs than healthy people, and 3) prayer, meditation etc... makes you mentally healthy.

I take prozac to keep from being mental.
