B5 is legendary good stuff. I hated the original ending though. The one when they got told that the producers would pull the plug one season early, made a horrible, horrible short version in one episode, and then got told the show would continue anyway. But the show was awesomesauce and more.

BSG is legendary stuff too. Loved the ending. So many small details lost until I saw it a second time.

Both are in sum great, but I would go for B5 if I had to make a choice.

I know what happens in the Battlestar Galactica ending. They find Earth and are the ancestors of modern day humans which is odd because I swore they were existing contemporaneously with us.

Oh and the concept of space-faring humans (call them Atlanteans) coming to Earth and founding our species... ripped it off of Stargate. Suck it.

        Even if so, who cares?

But BSG totally blows it out of the water.
Hmm, I'll have to look up that one movie where she did full frontal nudity. I think that might change your mind.

And her "my name is ........" speech improved my opinion of her acting skills

So for me the top five were also

              Londo Mollari(Peter Jurasik..........Carried the show
G'kar(Andreas Katsulas)..............A great counter to Londo and kept the show interesting
Vir Cotto(Stephen Furst)............Very Good Only ahead of Dole because of his famous wave at the head on a pole
              Michael Garibaldi(Jerry Dole)........Very Good
Susan Ivanova(Claudia Christion)..I thought she was hot. and except for Dole the only one on the command staff that could deliver a line.

              And yes, take
Lenneir and Delenn out and shoot them along with Sheridan.

I liked Talia more than Susan, but maybe that's just because of my thing for redheads.

Stargate was good, fun science fiction, but it can't hold a candle to the drama BSG was capable of.

I tried getting into B5 one time when a friend loaned me his DVDs of the first season. But by the end of fourth episode, I didn't feel like I was getting into it so I stopped.

                        B5 is quite a good Sci-Fi show.

BSG is one of the best TV shows of all time.

                          BSG was totally awesome!

B5, I never really got into for some reason. Whatever Star Trek was out at the time always seemed far superior to B5.

My solution would be to get them both for the library and blow your money on something else. It's not like you'll be watching it more than a couple of times anyway...

DS9 was on at around the same time (a rip off?), both had their moments, DS9 better produced, B5 better themes (generalisations ahoy).
