The point is that a fun, tongue-in-cheek series is better than some droning boring so serious show about humans running away from robots and stories about relationships Battlestar Galactica is like a chick flick in space.

    Red Dwarf is good too.

Oh and I think Star Trek was panned by critics when it first came out Look how that turned out.

Al is like the most useless poster ever. Preferring Stargate to the new BSG? What in the Holy Heck?

FACT: BSG has more Vipers than Stargate.

CONCLUSION: BSG is better than Stargate.

Both are great, but I'm going to have to say BSG.

b5 was great, one of my favourite pieces of sci-fi. old school battlestar galatica was cool too. i've never seen the new one.

stargate was a crappy film, and i think i remember watching two of the series and thinking what a pile of ****.

I think I'd put the Londo actor on top. And you forgot Mr. Morden

Overall, as much as I liked B5, I'd still say nBSG is teh rul0rZ, despite some weak eps. there too.

Didn't see BSG, but I did enjoy B5. Some good political parables, especially over war-propaganda.

Yeah, Londo was great - though partly because he was, as an interesting character, given some of the best lines.

G'kar was downright hilarious in places. Ivanova was kind of interesting, but both the commanders of the station (guy played by Boxleitner and the other dude who was like Space Jesus) were really annoying and stupid.

Dr. Franklin was probably the most annoying character in my opinion though. Even more than Delenn.

First four episodes of new BSG series 3. With the Iraq occupation still raging, US TV is treated to an overt comment on the war by a popular TV show in which the good guys respond to occupation by becoming suicide bombers attacking the new regime's police recruits.

Sod tripe for kids like Babylon 5. That's the sort of thing TV was made for.

                              And HC liked that show?

That just shows you how stupid that show is. Aren't the enemy of the good guys a bunch of robots?

How the hell are terrorist tactics supposed to work on robots?
