I wouldn't touch marijuana with a 30 foot pole and a hazmat suit. Regardless, making it illegal is pointless and stupid. While marijuana harms your lungs in much the same way cigarettes do, the most dangerous risk you take with marijuana is it being laced with other drugs like crack. If legalized, two things would happen: Many violent drug gangs would suddenly "go out of business", and you would be able to buy marijuana in a store where you know what you're getting. And the government would be able to collect tax revenue. Everyone wins.If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

We have no problem with supply in this country. In fact, I haven't seen a price increase in 20+ years now."I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow

Yeah, cut a cheap drug with an expensive one. Great for business. The punters'll never notice either.
You're right in your last points though.

Yeah, selling crack at pot prices would be a bad business decision."I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow

No "decrim possession for starters, then we'll see" option.
