GameSpot's study shows that the majority of the population of all adult gamers 13 and older who own a PS3 only spend around 50% of their time playing games. Anyone else shocked that a system primarily created and designed for gaming is being used almost primarily for non-gaming?

I use about 2% of my PS3 time gaming...
It's been a bluray player + DLNA client for me. After Christmas, it'll just be a bluray player."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

It's quite obviously not just designed as a games machine. It's very obviously had built in the Blu-Ray player, media player, browser, DLNA stuff exactly so it can be a mini home media centre.
In the UK you can also get the online video on demand services from all the free to air networks, iPlayer, 4oD and ITV Player all have specialist apps built into PS3 now. Which is great, on demand streaming video in decent resolution on a big screen rather than having to watch round a PC or whatever.
