However, to use the bible... what do you always quote? New International Version or something?
Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly! In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.
The words above speak for themselves.
But since you deem yourself greater than your God, you will blabber about context and state that the Bible says whatever you believe and the literal words are not correct. Typical Christian"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
"I have nothing against Wilson, but he's nowhere near the same calibre of QB as Flutie. Flutie threw for 5k+ yards in the CFL." -Ben Kenobi

And before anyone comes in here puzzled about how I don't believe in God so how can I admonish someone for straying from one interpretation of their faith, my thing is if you're going to be a Christian or Muslim or whatever else, don't be disingenuous about it; freaking follow it and not make up your own crap as you go along! You have the luxury to believe whatever you want, to survey all faiths and decide on which makes the most sense to you, or to, hell, create your own religious philosophy and just follow it yourself!
So there is no excuse for people to do what Imran and others do in which they try to smash the square blocks of whatever their own preferences are into the circle holes set forth in the Bible.
This appeal to 'context' which Imran and others always bring up is the ticket which enables them to turn the literal 'Word of God' into whatever the hell they, as mere men, please it to mean! The Bible specifically prohibits against this in repeated passages, which I have quoted for Imran's benefit, yet I suppose the Bible passages prohibiting loose interpretations of the Bible are themselves interpretable and so forth so Imran gets a free pass on whatever the hell he wants to do! Ticks me off actually because it's fake Christianity. Ben is far more consistent in following his faith as per Scripture than these soft universalist Christians like Imran."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

The Bible passages you quoted are clearly warnings, they don't forbid alcohol.

Maybe Ben just switched up DLs when the Ben schtick was getting old. He wrote off the character by having him go to David Floyd's house and never return."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

2) Yes, it quite clearly warns against the dangers associated with drinking alcohol. It's like how I could warn a child to not get hit by a car without being anti-car.
